Recommended Stabilization: To protect the drain from movement of the concrete, it is recommended to drill and pin the base of the drain midway, using a coated or non-metallic rigid reinforcement material. The factory recommends their 3/8" fiberglass dowel (sold separately) for the two-piece drains and that you drill and pin the base at 3-foot intervals of the two-piece drains to help prevent damage caused by to the drain from concrete movement. The dowels are precut at 12-inch lengths, eliminating the need for to cut rebar on the job site. The dowels may be part of the reinforcement of the concrete slab, as their purpose is to hold the concrete apart, stabilizing the base of the drain. NOTE: The use of proper “PPE” is required when handling fiberglass Drain Dowels. Top Cap Colors: Listed below in order from top to bottom: White, Grey, Marble, Tan, Black.
