When tackling very tangled, knotted and matted hair, use the Jaws to create sections in the hair. You will then create smaller sub-sections using the yoyettes to keep hair out of the way as you work on one section at a time. When removing mats from the hair, use the Removal Combs pointed side to poke the mat until it loosens, then use flicking motions going towards the scalp to remove the shedded hair. Once the mat is loose you may brush with the Untangle brush starting at the ends and working your way up. Once a section is complete use the Yoyettes to clip the hair out of the way and continue your sub-sections until complete.
