Rennie Peppermint tablets contain two naturally-occurring antacids called calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate which neutralise stomach acid by turning it in to water and other natural substances. They act directly in the oesophagus as well as in the stomach and are then eliminated by your body. Directions for use The usual dosage is one to two tablets, up to 3-4 times per day. This medicine is for adults only, it is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below age 18. Prolonged use should be avoided. Do not exceed the stated dose of maximum of eleven tablets a day. If symptoms persist after seven days further medical advice should be sought.
