The Renthal Apex stem covers all sectors of mountain bike. Light enough for XC racing, stiff and strong enough for a 780mm handlebar.The Renthal Apex combines All Mountain strength, Enduro stiffness and XC lightweight.Unique 240deg handlebar clamps allow much of the stem body material to be removed, whilst retaining the strength and stiffness demanded by modern, wide handlebars.The Apex is fully CNC machined, featuring an oversize centre bore, extensive 3-D machining and external webbing to maximise structural strength and stiffness and minimise weight.The Apex stem features our unique new clamping system. This allows much of the stem body material to be removed, whilst retaining the strength and stiffness demanded by modern, wide handlebars. The clamps are inserted over the small diameter section of the handlebar and slid into the centre, giving a 240deg wrap of the handlebar.The Apex construction comprises a fully CNC machined 2014 aluminium body and 7075 aluminium clamps. An oversize centre bore, extensive 3-D machining and external webbing maximise structural strength and stiffness and minimise weight.Continuing Renthal's philosophy of giving the customer the choice in set-up, the stem is available in 31, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90mm lengths. Each of these sizes can be flipped to give either a +/-6deg rise. This gives options for riders and bikes of all size, type and style.NEW 31mm Apex Stem: There is constantly increasing demand for shorter and shorter stems, so we have developed the 31mm Apex to be a short as it can be, before the handlebar contacts the steerer tube.
