Paul Lashton Water Repellent – How to Use Brush the hat firstRemove all dust, dirt, and debris from both the outside and inside of the hat. Clean any stainsUse a hat wipe or clean cloth to remove stains and oils. Allow the hat to dry completely before applying the repellent. Apply to the outsideHold the bottle 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) away from the hat. Spray a light, even coat over the entire outer surface. Apply to the insideTurn the hat over and spray a light, even coat on the inside surface, including around the crown and under the brim. Remove excess productIf too much repellent is applied, gently wipe away any excess with a clean microfiber cloth. Allow to dryLet the hat dry for 12 hours before wearing. Tips Apply in a well-ventilated area. Do not saturate the hat; a light, even coat works best. For maximum protection, apply a second light coat after the first coat dries. Reapply every few months or after heavy exposure to rain, sweat, or cleaning. Suitable for: Panama hats, straw hats, wool felt hats, western hats, fedoras, and many other hat materials.
