NORMALISE GRINDCORE!!! And what better a way to do it than with one of the earliest and best deployments of the blast beat.Considering how influential it is, and many times I've pl ayed it, I've retained very little contextual knowledge about this beast of a record.One point of difference between this and their UK early-grind counterparts (Carcass, Napalm Death etc) is that absence of a cultural connection to Anarcho Punk or Discharge.It's a middle American, high fructose corn syrup diet of Hardcore Punk, Thrash and late night horror flicks. Maybe it's the t-shirt on the back cover but I've got a pet theory that The Misfits underrated final record with Danzig 'Earth A.D. / Wolfs Blood' played some role in shaping this record.
