Painted as a tribute all the families affected by breast cancer, 'Resilience' speaks of hope and connections . When someone suffers from cancer, it affects not only them but their families, friends, their communities. I wanted to represent that with the intertwining branches of the trees, each leaf with the symbol of breast cancer. The opening door meaning that sometimes there is a light at the end of the tunnel as well as the hinting light of the sun peeking from beyond the trees.
