Ideal Growing Conditions Sun: Full Sun Water: Allow the soil to dry out a little bit in-between watering. Established plants are drought tolerant. Fertilizer: Doesnt require a lot of fertilizer. Can give it some organic granular fertilizer every now and then to promote lush growth. When & How To Sow Seeds: Can direct sow after the last frost or start in pots 4-6 weeks before your last spring frost date. Sprinkle a few seeds over the soil surface, pat them down so they make contact, cover lightly with 1/4 inch of soil, and water them in. Plants get around 2FT wide and tall at maturity so space appropriately. Germination: 7-14 days Days To Maturity: Usually starts blooming in 3 to 4 months from seed. How & When To Harvest: Harvest blooms early in the morning for fresh cut flowers. Frequent harvesting and deadheading of spent flowers encourages more blooms.
