It provides the needed adhesion between the substrate and the Carrier Layer. Restec SA Primer (roller applied) is solvent based primer for bonding a variety of self-adhesive membranes and vapour control layers to variety of substrates. It increases bond strength of self-adhesive membranes between the membrane and substrate dramatically. SA Primer provides an outstanding bond and has been formulated to allow simple application providing a bond that exhibits high adhesive and cohesive strength with good flexibility. The solution is a polymeric primer which permanently bonds and secures the membrane; but also contains reduced levels of volatile solvents to help meet environmental standards. The reduced levels of solvent within the formulation quickly evaporate allowing for fast and permanent bonding on horizontal or vertical applications. Due to the high-performance bond, this product is ideal for even the most stringent of applications. Restec SA Primer is suitable for priming both new and existing bituminous membranes, asphalt, concrete, timber, tissue or foil faced PIR insulation and is also suitable for priming faced stone wool insulation.
