This charming blanket box is very practical and will bring a definite sense of traditional character to any home. The lid doubles as a great display area when not in use but when o pened reveals a spacious area ideal for storing bedding, shoes or toys. The lid is held open by a metal arm. Of particular note is the linen-fold pattern on the central panel adding to the visual appeal of this box. We have lovingly restored this piece by stripping back the original darker finish and applying a clear lacquer, to bring out the rich natural tones of the oak and to give a hard-wearing finish. The framework of this blanket box is made from oak and the panels are made from plywood with an oak veneer. The base and back panel are plywood. With its simple, traditional style this delightful blanket box will look great in any bedroom, conservatory, or hallway. Note: There is a small dent in the wood on the front of the lid.
