This charming oak dressing table would make a lovely bedroom centrepiece, with its beautiful carvings and natural oak tones. This piece offers plenty of practical storage for toiletries and make-up with two central drawers and two cupboards on each side of the seating space. The large mirror is supported by two vertical supports. The two cupboards each have a central shelf and are fronted by panelled doors with attractive linenfold carvings and original ring handles. In between the two drawers is a series of attractive circular motifs, and the oak grain on display across this dressing table is very appealing. We have restored this dressing table by carefully stripping away the previous stain to reveal the rich tones of the oak underneath. A clear matt lacquer has then been applied, accentuating the beauty of the wood grain and giving an appealing and durable finish. This dressing table is constructed from a mixture of solid oak, veneer panels and plywood.There is a small area of oxidation in the top corner of the mirror, which we have shown in our accompanying photos. This dressing table is a delightful addition for those who appreciate vintage furniture with character, combining style and practicality in an attractive design.
