With practical storage and an elegant design this beautiful sideboard would be a much-loved addition to the lounge, dining room, hallway, or other family space.The beautiful mahogany top surface is ideal for a vase of fresh flowers, a fruit bowl, or treasured ornaments and photographs. There are some stains and marks on the top, which you would expect to find on a piece of this age. These cosmetic imperfections all add character to this lovely sideboard.It would appear that this sideboard was designed as a drinks cabinet, because both the drawers on either side have sections to store upright drinks bottles. In the centre is a third drawer which can be used for paperwork or accessories. The beautiful turned legs that support this sideboard just add to the overall appeal.Please note that there is a crack in the wood underneath the central drawer and some damage to the beading around the edge of the drawer to the right. We have shown these imperfections in our photos; however, this is to be expected from a period piece, and these blemishes just add to its character.Our dedicated restorers have breathed new life into this sideboard by removing the old finish and applying a fresh coat of lacquer. This process not only enhances protection but also accentuates the natural colour and tones of the wood.
