This collection is a celebration of the Blackbutt tree – for its history, tenacity, beauty and its place in the Australian landscape. The collection was purposefully created using recycled blackbutt, turning the timber back into a celebration of its natural beauty in whole form. The blackbutt canvas is as much a part of the work as the medium. This work is about restraint and expression.
