Color fixative for commercially dyed cotton fabrics - used to prevent dye bleeding. For best results, soak fabrics in Retayne before washing them for the first time. Directions: Ma chine application: Not for energy-efficient top and front loaders - treat instead by hand. Estimate the amount of water needed to cover cotton fabric. Fill the machine to this level with hot water (at least 140º F). Add one teaspoon per yard of cotton fabric in a hot soak for 20-30 minutes. Use cool water during the rinse cycle and dry at once. After the fabric has been treated with Retayne, subsequent laundering should be with cool water. Show more
