Retro Flash was influenced by our time spent on Route 66 while traveling through the west. I love the old signage and the simpler times represented in mid century culture. Retro Flash brings together some of my favorite 50's themes into one fun quilt. This quilt features traditional applique. If you choose to do fused applique, the templates included will work for that too. Dance is Block #7. When my mother heard that I was creating a Retro themed quilt, she asked if I was going to include poodle skirts. Well sure! You can’t feature the 50’s without showing some of the great dancing and of course, poodle skirts!
