I loved creating the wonderful texture of this painting using my signature style - pressing flowers and leaves on the canvas. When I completed the background the density and the colours reminded me of my trip to Costa Rica where I saw so many colourful plants and birds. So I decided to paint hummingbirds because I was amazed by their beauty. Some things don't just return — they transform. Revival is an original acrylic painting created using real flowers pressed into the canvas for texture, their organic forms dissolving into abstract layers of colour and texture.
