The RG-03 Neo combines the RG-03 sensor with our new Neo-Jack to provide great sound with a virtually non-invasive jack installation. The sensor for the RG-03 installs to the under side of the cone and the Neo-Jack mounts just behind the tailpiece using the existing strap button and screw. The RG-03 is the original center mounted resonator guitar pickup for spider bridge instruments. Sound Clips: Clip 1 Technical The sensor for the RG-03 mounts easily to the center of the underside of the resonator cone with the supplied putty. The lead wire from the RG-03 sensor is fitted with a micro plug at its end. A small 5/32" (4mm) hole is drilled in the area under the tailpiece, and which will remain out of sight under the tailpiece, to bring the lead wire and micro plug from the sensor to the Neo-Jack. The red dot indicates hole placement. There is no soldering required as the lead from the RG-03 will simply plug into the Neo-Jack to complete the installation. View Installation Instructions RG-03 Neo (pdf) Amplification The passive RG-03 works perfectly well and sounds good when plugged straight into any decent quality guitar amp. As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp.
