For light walks, remove the insoles and air your shoes. For muddy walks and hikes, rinse your shoes with water and use a bristled brush to remove mud or dirt, using a hard-bristled brush for the soles and a soft-bristled brush for the uppers. To restore waterproofing, use a specially made reproofing spray or applicator and be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
