Through many cold winters and hot summer days, Rhiannon carried countless passengers up and down the hill to the castle, all without a single complaint. Her son ended up being discovered in a neighboring village years later when a nobleman and his wife found a crying babe in a meadow. They nurtured and raised him up as their own child, but as he grew older, they discovered that the boy had displayed unusual, magical abilities. His face also began resembling features of his father, King Pywll. His adoptive parents immediately knew he was the supposed murdered prince, well and alive. Some say he was kidnapped by a bewitched badger, others say he was snatched by a shadow phantom. The farmers returned the boy to Rhiannon, and she was released from her exonerated and returned to the palace as the rightful queen.
