Rhythm Landscape #47 continues my exploration of the movement and shifting light found within the Australian bush, scaled up to a more panoramic landscape format. This piece uses a mix of acrylic and oil stick on canvas to build a heavily textured, layered surface. The wider composition allowed me to stretch out the horizon, emphasising the rhythmic, verticality of white and black tree trunks cutting through a leafy canopy of earthy golden brown and red tones. There's an interplay of light filtering through the trees, with pops of soft yellow and subtle pink balancing the deeper earthy tones.
