SALTO WORKSOP ABOUT THE ARTISTMy name is Sidney Ann Field and I started this business back in2019, about 9 months after I took my first handbuilding class at alocal studio. I make tactile ceramic vessels and sculptures for thehome by thoughtfully crafting each piece the slow way: by hand,never on a wheel. Embracing the clay’s inherent quirks andimperfections results in distinctive and soulful pieces with acontemporary feel.My professional background in both product development andgraphic design has informed my work, creating a playful balance inlots of texture combined with a minimalist palette. My favoritesources of inspiration come from Kelly Wearstler, Wes Anderson,and the great outdoors.I live just outside of Seattle with my 3-year-old daughter & cat.
