Primitive_vaseThis is a work made by Ricca Okano, who creates pottery in her atelier in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture. This is a unique vase with a primitive form and vivid colors.Th e contrast between the green of the body and the yellow of the handle is interesting, and it can also be used as an interior object. She is very attracted to abstract lines and colors that emerge from the unconscious, and creates her works based on those emotions. Her inspiration for her work also comes from the magnificent and beautiful forest that surrounds her atelier. She creates her works by reflecting her daily emotions in the natural world, which changes every day with its various colors, and the flow and changes of water that circulates from rain to mist, clouds, sky, and earth.
