Richard Yates by Tao Lin. 2010 Melville House, first edition, 206 pages. Tao Lin was the face of 2000's alt-lit. According to a review in the NYT at the time: "Layered, self-servin g logic like this is partially why Lin, who’s just 27, was singled out as a “New Lit Boy” in a New York magazine profile last year. “Richard Yates” channels the author’s obvious creative abilities into an exploration of illicit love and obsession."
