Two lovely dresses - same pattern stitch with a completely different look! Both dresses are knit flat from the hem upwards with a back buttoned closure. The stitch used is a vintage shell stitch that I modified so that it forms a crochet like shell stitch. Dress 1: The frilly hem of the dress has a 31/4’’ (8.5 cm) of the pattern stitch and 2 rows of the pattern stitch appears over the bodice. The short puffy sleeves are knit first then joined together at the bodice. Dress 2: The entire part of the skirt is done in 2 colors. The dress has 3/4 sleeves that you can make longer or shorter.
