These are fun, fabulous masterpieces of Italian design - the original and best, beware of imitations! When Mark, manager of The Home, first saw these he knew we had to have them. This particular one is a a very Stanley Kubrick-esque bright white. As tastes became bolder and mass manufacturing took over the world in the second half of the 20th century, normal everyday objects began to be made in interesting colours and polymers began to be used extensively to produce them. Research into technical solutions began to open up the artistic possibilities to Italian design, leading to the so-called polymer boom of the 1960s and 1970s. Cue Giorgio Della Beffa who created his Ring a Date Perpetual Calendar - immediately adored by the public all over the world, it even went on show at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Each piece is unique and numbered, packed in a Ring a Date box. Approximate dimensions: 473mm wide, 485mm long ,54mm deep. Box measures 497mm x 505mm x 68mm. Due to the nature of their production, The Ring a Dates are a little fragile.
