The result is a lifelike, anatomically correct stonefly imitation built to fish deep and move naturally. The marabou abdomen provides constant motion, while the chenille thorax positions the knotted legs exactly where they belong on a real stonefly nymph. A tungsten bead head, slightly smaller than the thorax, completes the natural silhouette and helps the fly sink quickly. The jig hook allows anglers to fish tight to the bottom with fewer hang-ups. This pattern truly shines when fished under an indicator, suspended just off the bottom, where its movement and profile consistently draw eats from feeding trout.
