For Studio Kamini Based on legacy patterns created by an indigenous tribe located along the Gujarat border – which spoke to Kamini who is Gujarati and who has been following the am azing artworks of this tribe for decades. It was her love of textiles that first drew her to interiors, inspired by the jewel-like embellished saris, worn by her mother. Her emphasis on bringing the traditional artisanal craftsmanship into a modern, yet considered vernacular is now extended to the exciting collaboration with the ever-talented Laura Cheung Wolf of LALA CURIO – a most natural fit. The wallpapers showcase a wide array of embroideries, that date back centuries in India – Zardozi, or Zari, French knots, Kuch, Abla – to name a few.
