This work on Sufi principles and etiquette contains two treatises that are small in size but significant in terms of their audience, impact, and continued relevance. The first is a treatise written by Khalid al-Baghdadi, the founder of the Khalidi branch of the Naqshbandi order, on the etiquette and rules of the order. The second is a treatise written by a person named Mehmed Said, explaining the twenty apparent, hidden, and other rules of the order. Both of the aforementioned treatises have been simplified by Mehmed Zahid Efendi. (Tenkîh means to separate the good from the bad, the useful from the excessive and unnecessary parts of something.)
