About This Print: This image was captured on the Nho Quế River in North Vietnam. The river winds through the mountains, bringing life to these remote areas. The turquoise water creates a picturesque composition year-round, even in the thick of the burning season. The burning season is part of an agricultural cycle where farmers clear the fields after harvest. This process returns nutrients to the soil and prepares the land for new growth. A soft haze drifts through the valley during this time, creating a peaceful, muted scene. This cycle is a reminder that our own transitions through life can feel like this, hazy, unclear and muted. But this haze is part of the process, clearing out old versions of ourselves and making space for what's next. The haze reassures us that even when things are unclear, growth is already on its way. - Nong Khiaw, Laos 2024 A Spark for the Soul -This photo is meant to be more than decor; it’s a doorway, reminding you that you’re capable of far more than you imagine.
