However, the shawl requires nearly the entire skein of each color, deviation from the gauge will affect the size of the shawl and yarn requirements. SUGGESTED YARNLaurel Falls in Mojave Flora Gradient Set by Miss Babs Yarn; 100% superwash Shaniko Merino wool; this gradient set contains six 150 yd (1.7 oz (137 m / 50 g) skeins. Sport Weight. Or approximately 300 g of a similar sport weight yarn - this is a perfect project for scraps or mini skeins! Choose solid or mostly solid colored yarn that has good stitch definition and select colors that have enough contrast to allow the colorwork to stand out.
