Deep purple (think "smoke on the water"). Pretty prominent nose of oak, nail polish, crushed black pepper and dark berries. Taste is more fruit forward but with a tannic dryness th roughout with a bit of sour cherry tartness on the tail end. Medium acidity. Medium body. Opened a couple of hours before drinking, but didn’t decant. Minimal tannins at this point. Red and purple fruits on the nose and palate including dark plums along with notes of chocolate.
