A mushroom cloud looms above a sleeping city. My Road to Nowhere ring features my one-of-kind enameled illustration set in a handmade bezel with square shank. I created this apocal yptic enameled scene by "painting" with powdered glass on copper using tiny brushes and various scraping tools. I fired the design with a torch to fuse the glass to the metal. The enameled scene is a little over 1/2" and the setting is deeply oxidized sterling silver, size 7. This piece is part of my limited edition Tiny Catastrophes series of modern memento mori pieces that explore the fragility of life and our desire to control the uncontrollable. Show more
