Roadkill Extended is an improved version of the original Roadkill boards. For more details please see the SafflowerCMD Github repository. Main Features of Roadkill Extended: Heater current capacity is greatly improved offering 5A of capacity on the RKE-Long board and 6A on RKE2. Support for simultaneous use of neopixels, filament sensor, inductive probe and x endstop switch with dedicated ports for all features. All boards within the RKE family are pin compatible allowing for mix and matching of boards. If you wish to source your own IDC connectors or Molex ribbon cable, the bare-bone kit or PCB Kit is recommended. The assembled kit is meant to be user who does wish to solder and offer a complete kit for roadkill but all kit would require crimping wire to the breakout board which can vary between printers, so this is not included. Nylon or printed washers should be used to protect the mounting holes due to the proximity of the traces to the holes. LED port is designed for neopixels and uses a common 5V rail with the filament sensor port. Probe port has a 24V power rail. (So please make sure probe connection is correct to prevent shorting your probe or MCU) Not suitable when running heater cartridge over 70watts (24v) such as Rapido from Trianglelabs/Pheatus, we recommenced running separate 18-20AWG from hotend to the mainboard Heater/MOSFET directly.
