We combined their craftsmanship with more than thirty years of missionary wear data collected through our exclusive 2-Year Wearproof Guarantee to create a shoe built specifically for missionary life: long walking days, unpredictable weather, repeated wear, and the need to look sharp while staying comfortable. Flexible, Long-Lasting Construction: Comfort was the first priority. The sole is permanently fused to the full-grain leather upper using a direct-injection molding process, with no glue or stitching holding the sole in place. This creates a flexible, lightweight feel and dramatically reduces the risk of sole separation. It also forms a water-tight bond between the upper and sole, helping the shoe recover well after wet conditions. Supportive Orthotic Insole: The insole is an orthotic-grade, dual-density foam insole topped with leather for added durability. It is supportive, lightweight, and built for many miles of daily walking. We reinforce the contours of the insole so they hold their shape and do not crush down after extended use. Roomy European Comfort Fit: This shoe uses a European comfort fit concept. Rather than fitting tightly at the heel and toes, it is designed to fit through the arch and top of the foot, with a wider toe box that lets your toes spread naturally and helps reduce blisters. When trying them on, focus on how the arch and instep feel instead of worrying about extra room in the toe box. Durable, All-Weather Traction: The rubber-blend sole was selected based on what has performed best in our 2-Year Wearproof Guarantee program. The tread uses a non-slip pattern with more surface area, helping it wear longer on pavement, prevent rocks from getting stuck in the sole, and still provide excellent grip. Water-Ready Leather: These shoes are made with waterproof materials and are built to be submerged in water, then dry out without being damaged. After submerging the shoes, remove the insoles and let the shoes dry over a heater vent or radiator. After they dry, remember that leather is natural cowhide and needs to be conditioned so it does not dry out, crack, or weaken. Use a quality shoe cream, mink oil, or bear grease to nourish the leather and keep it soft and supple. Best Results with Rotation: Your feet can produce about 1/2 to 1 cup of moisture per foot each day. Rotate your shoes daily and give each pair a day or two of rest between wearings.
