This quintessential double LP edition (fold open cover) contains all of Johnson’s preserved master recordings taped in San Antonio and Dallas, between 1936 and 1937. Originally, 24 of them were released as 78 rpm singles in the late 1930s by the Vocalion label (see detailed data table inside). In addition to the 24 original sides released by Vocalion between 1937 and 1938, this collector’s item also includes five songs recorded during the same dates, which were not issued by Vocalion.
