For over three decades, philanthropist and software pioneer Peter Norton commissioned leading contemporary artists to create limited-edition artworks distributed as Christmas cards to friends and family, a series known as the Peter Norton Family Christmas Project. Renowned artists including Kara Walker, Takashi Murakami, and Yinka Shonibare participated in this highly collectible series. This specific teacup was created by sculptor Robert Lazzarini (b. 1965), an artist whose work has been exhibited at major institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Hirshhorn Museum.
