Named after the comedic1988 film of the same name, this vibrant and loveable artwork depicts Fozzy bear from The Muppets donning his iconic Necker-chief and little hat. On interpreting this character from pop culture, renowned animal artist Robert Oxley said: “Fozzie Bear is a really fun, loveable character. With his big red clown nose and huge smile, he’s everyone’s friend”. Harnessing five individual personalities from The Muppets, the Spring 2022 collection Ensemble, sees wildlife artist Robert Oxley depart from his usual subject matter and blow our minds by using his unique impressionistic style to represent and explore a “much-loved part of [his] childhood“. Created in the 1950s, Jim Henson's Muppets have since been adapted into a TV series, numerous theatrical films, and a world-wide brand, not to mention a key presence in most of our childhoods.
