We are excited to have added this work by contemporary maker, Bob Spetz, to our collection. Mr. Spetz made this instrument during his time at The Violin Making School of America, i n Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was was one of only six students to have ever graduated with honors. This is some of the earliest work of a violin maker who will be notable in years to come. The violin is based on a Stradivari pattern and is varnished with spirit/oil-based varnish, which is designed to age nicely and take a gentle patina over time.
