The rocaille — the asymmetrical shell scroll that gave the Rococo era its name — frames a jawless marble skull in heavy oxidised silver. The ring is large and deliberate: a statement piece that does not negotiate its presence. The silver is worked in high relief, darkened through oxidisation to a deep antique tone, then selectively polished so the peaks of the ornament catch the light. The result is a surface that reads differently depending on the angle — shadow in the recesses, gloss on the raised scrollwork. The marble skull sits at the centre: pale, smooth, and silent against the dark ornamental ground. The missing jaw is not an accident. A skull without its lower jaw is a skull mid-sentence — something interrupted, something left unfinished. In Rococo memento mori tradition, the skull was never simply a symbol of death. It was a reminder of what remains when everything performed and artificial falls away. Handcrafted in sterling silver and bonded marble. Every piece is made individually — not printed, not cast from a mould. All materials are vegan. One tree planted for every product sold. Find out more → This piece has a history.
