This piece is made with stones from Lake Superior and sterling silver. The shell is from Florida. The silver is oxidized to get the grey color. All links are soldered shut. This stone, along with all the stones in my jewelry, have been found by my husband and myself at Lake Superior. Yes, we spend a lot of time at the beach! The majority of these rock are basalt. We may have drilled or cut them but otherwise they are un-altered and untreated. They will absorb some of your oils and deepen in color and take on a beautiful sheen. I try to find fairly thin rocks and I think you will find them to be much lighter than you would expect. Each piece is unique. This necklace has a black rock, a shell and and a enameled shape. They are bezel set and arranged in a triangular fashion. It has a handmade chain with a rock toggle clasp. This sale is for this item pictured. It is one of a kind. The necklace measures approx 19 1/2 inches and the pendant is about 2 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches long. The chain length could be changed if need be.
