Rocker 83 is a distortion pedal conceived and developed by Colombo Audio Electronics, designed to offer guitarists the possibility of achieving classic 1980s guitar tones, reminiscent of the Rockman X100 pocket amp. Rocker 83 features a simple control interface similar to a standard guitar distortion pedal. Unlike the original unit, which had no controls, this design allows for greater flexibility and more precise tone shaping. The controls include Volume to set the output level of the distorted signal, Treble to adjust the high frequency content depending on the brightness of the amplifier, Gain to control the level of distortion, and a two position Edge Dist switch that offers different distortion ranges. The Edge mode produces a mellow crunch tone suitable for rhythm playing, while the Dist mode delivers a richer sound with more harmonics and sustain.
