Rocket Appartamento: TCA A Tariff surcharge of $88.00 will be added per Rocket Ask about our machine, grinder and water filter discount packages. (TCA) stands for Temperature Control Adjustment, and it eliminates the guesswork and temperature surfing. The Rocket Appartamento TCA is an Italian-built heat exchanger espresso machine with a feature most E61 heat exchanger machines lack, Precise Internal PID temperature control . To switch between the four different temperature modes, start by lifting the brew lever while the machine is off, then flipping the power switch while the lever is raised. You're now in programming mode. Each time you raise and lower the brew lever while in programming mode, the red LED indicator light will flash a number of times to indicate the current temperature setting: 1 flash: ~196F (low temperature) 2 flashes: ~200F (medium temperature) 3 flashes: ~203F (high temperature) 4 flashes:~ 208F (very high temperature) While in programming mode, you can also turn on eco mode to power down to a low energy standby after 30 minutes. As a heat exchanger espresso machine, the Appartamento TCA is capable of brewing and steaming at the same time. Compared to the original Appartamento, the TCA’s brew temperature flexibility makes it a better choice to satisfy a wider range of coffee preferences. The TCA also features an updated, coated copper boiler, which has a better resistance to tarnishing. From the exterior Rocket has maintained the circular cutout panels that defined the original Appartamento while introducing several changes to streamline the design. The curved back panel now matches the contour of the feet while the new portafilter is monogrammed with the signature Rocket “R” on the chromed tip. The steam and hot water knobs have increased in size to show off more metal while E61 group features a new angular design unseen on other espresso machines. In a final touch the cup tray has been reimagined to do away with previous plastic cup railing and the back of the machine displays the word “Rocket” in a stripe down the center. This is the machine for the home barista who values both performance and footprint. The Appartamento's compact stainless-steel chassis fits where counter space is precious, but the heat exchanger boiler inside delivers some serious steam power— to texture milk for multiple drinks back-to-back without waiting for recovery. The new TCA model refines, with a one-piece solid stainless frame, an updated E61 group head, cool touch steam wand, and angled rubberized portafilter handle with chrome tips. Magnets now secure the drip tray, and the heating indicator doubles as a low-water alert. Every detail reflects Italian craftsmen ship in modern precision. Key Features Internal PID with 4 preset temperatures: 196°F, 200°F, 203°F, 208°F — dial in based on roast level without temperature surfing E61 thermosyphon group head: Commercial-grade thermal stability and pre-infusion with the iconic lever Heat exchanger boiler: Simultaneous brew and steam with minimal recovery time between drinks Compact Italian stainless steel frame: Premium build quality in a footprint that fits tight spaces Vibratory pump with reservoir: No plumbing required, easy to relocate Insulated steam wand: Safer handling, faster microfoam No-look brewing: Clean design with no screens or extra buttons — just brew, steam, repeat Ideal For The intermediate home barista ready to move beyond entry-level equipment without sacrificing counter space. Perfect for espresso purists who want temperature precision without the complexity of a full dual boiler, and for households that serve milk drinks regularly—the heat exchanger's steam power makes back-to-back cappuccinos effortless. If you value clean design, Italian build quality, and the ability to fine-tune your brew temperature with four simple presets, the Appartamento TCA delivers exceptional performance in a package that fits where larger machines can't. This is serious espresso for kitchens that demand both capability and elegance.
