The Original Rocking Sheep is a piece of furniture just as much as a toy. The frame is made of pinewood, and the head is carved by hand. The body is upholstered with foam and cover ed with sheepskin. Povl Kjer designed the first Rocking Sheep for his niece as a humorous reminder of her country roots in 1981. The Rocking Sheep has become well-known, first in Denmark, then followed by the rest of Scandinavia, and today the Danish design classic is sold all over the world.
