A wonderfully playful and joyous oil on canvas by Danish artist Erik Larsen (1902-1975) depicting a rococo scene. Great vintage condition with minimal wear in a simple artists fram e. The texture and movement in this piece are mesmerising. Signed on the verso. Larsen was known for his vibrant paintings of circus, cabaret, and Parisian street scenes, as well as literary and mythological subjects, and his art is found in numerous public collections across Denmark including the National Gallery of Denmark.
