Directed by Ishiro Honda and produced by Tomoyuki Tanaka, the movie follows a gi ant Pteranodon that rises from the depths of a cave, wreaking havoc on Kyushu while the JSDF attempts to stop it. Scoring the film is Akira Ifukube, creating a unique soundtrack that fits in the Godzilla universe while showcasing Rodan's character.
