Hand finished, large and substantial roller skate charm, which works equally well as a pendant. The excellent detail of this design includes moving wheels. The first roller skate w as a Belgian invention patented in 1760. The original design was based on an ice skate, simply replacing the blade with wheels, and it wasn't until the middle of the following century that the quad design with its independent axles was marketed, leading to roller skating's huge popularity that peaked throughout the '30s.
