Age: 7-years Proof: 111 proof Blend: Three barrel Straight Kentucky Bourbon. ? Distilled and aged in Bardstown, Kentucky in new American oak barrels. Finished 9-months in ex-Jamaic an Rum barrels Bottle Count: 480 Bottles Tasting Notes: The nose brings a juicy and bright tropical fruit medley with plenty of candied orange peel, vanilla cream soda, and a sweet, brown sugar coated oak. The palate follows close to the nose with more tropical leaning, saturated sno-cone syrup sweetness on the front of the tongue, while still giving familiar candied orange, nougat, and milk chocolate on the mid palate like we’ve noticed from Bourbon De Luxe in the past. The finish lingers with soft baking spices and a sweet florality, but mainly just lovely vanilla cream soda, a hint of orange peel, and sweet, beautiful oak. Product description: As independent bottlers, Rolling Fork Spirits has revived this 113-year-old bourbon brand that traces its roots back to the early 1900s. The brand survived Prohibition after being acquired by the R.E. Wathen Co. in 1926, and became part of the American Medicinal Spirits Co. portfolio in 1927. The return of Bourbon de Luxe in 2024 marks the revival of this historic brand, which follows the motto created by the Wathen family in 1788: No Finer Spirits Can Be Made. Show more
