This piece is made with stones from Lake Superior and sterling silver. The silver is oxidized to get the grey color. All links are soldered shut. These stones, along with all the stones in my jewelry, have been found by my husband and myself at Lake Superior. Yes, we spend a lot of time at the beach! The majority of these rock are basalt. We may have drilled or cut them but otherwise they are un-altered and untreated. They will absorb some of your oils and deepen in color and take on a beautiful sheen. I try to find fairly thin rocks and I think you will find them to be much lighter than you would expect. Each piece is unique. This pendant is a handmade sterling silver cage filled with 5 small rocks of varying colors trapped inside. They can roll around a bit. It is on a sterling rolo chain with a lobster clasp. This sale is NOT for this item pictured. It will be very similar. The chain measures approx 18 inches and the pendant is about 2 inches long. The chain length could be changed if need be.
