No judgement – I’ve got one too. Someone asked me a while back: “can you do a cake for our anniversary? I want our photo on it. And red velvet – that’s our flavour.” I said yeah, course. Made a red velvet cake, cream cheese frosting (has to be cream cheese with red velvet – anything else is wrong), and put their favourite photo on top. She cried. He looked chuffed. That’s when you know it worked. So here it is: Romantic Couple Cake – available at our Bromley bakery. It’s a round cake, about 7 or 8 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, proposals, engagements, or just because you want to say “I love you” with cake. What’s in it? Sponge – red velvet. Our proper one. Deep red, light crumb, hint of cocoa. Not too chocolatey – just right. Frosting – real cream cheese buttercream. Tangy, smooth, not too sweet. The perfect partner for red velvet. The photo – an edible photo of you and your partner printed on rice paper with food colouring. Safe to eat. Looks like a sticker but it melts in your mouth. The romance – little piped hearts, maybe a few edible rose petals or gold stars around the photo. Around the sides – cream cheese frosting smoothed or lightly swirled. Sometimes a cascade of red and pink sprinkles. It’s personal. It’s romantic. It’s red velvet – which is basically the most romantic cake flavour there is. Who buys this? Anniversary cake – 1st, 5th, 10th, 25th – any year you want to celebrate. Valentine’s Day cake – very popular around February. Proposal cake – you’re going to ask the question? Put your photo on the cake. She’ll say yes. Engagement party cake – celebrate the news with your faces on cake. Couple’s birthday – if you share a birthday or just want a joint celebration. Honestly? Anyone who wants a cake that’s about them. It’s your face on cake. That’s cool. Can I use any photo? Yeah. Send me a clear, not‑blurry photo. Selfie, professional shot, holiday pic – whatever you love. I’ll print it on edible rice paper. Can I get a different flavour sponge? You could, but… red velvet is the romantic one. If you really want vanilla or chocolate, just ask. How much notice? Week or two if you can. The edible photo needs printing and posting to me. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest. Collection or delivery? Collect from our Bromley shop or local delivery if you're nearby. One thing to mention… The edible photo is fine to eat but don’t leave it in a hot car – colours can run. Also the cream cheese frosting means the cake needs to stay cool. Not freezing cold, but cool. If it’s a hot day, bring a cool bag. Right. That’s the Romantic Couple one done.For the two of you.
