An audiophile since he was a kid (he built his first pair of speakers in the eighth grade), Ron cites the first time he heard an LP12 as the extraordinary audio moment that transformed his life. “In 1989, I was working at a high-performance audio shop in Wisconsin and two Linn brand representatives gave me a demonstration of the LP12. They asked for the most modest system we sold—at the time an NAD amp and Boston Acoustics speakers that cost less than $500—and hooked the LP12 up to that system, then compared it to our most expensive system.
